A hinged wooden box in the shape of an ammonite made from American white oak. Approx size (in mm) is 105 x 90 x 30. Inner compartment is 18mm deep.
Ammonites lived during the periods of Earth history known as the Jurassic and Cretaceous. Spanning about 140 million years the Jurassic Period began about 201 million years ago and the Cretaceous Period ended about 66 million years ago.
