Tessellated Jigsaws – Round

Wikipedia defines a tessellation as: A tessellation or tiling is the covering of a surface, often a plane, using one or more geometric shapes, called tiles, with no overlaps and no gaps.

For the Jigsaw enthusiast this means something a lot more interesting.

As defined , in our tessellated Jigsaws each piece (excluding edges) is the same shape. Just to make the jigsaw even more interesting, these puzzles are round!

Although only 185 pieces in total, 147 of these are the same shape which means there are 3_­­¹⁴⁷  or 13,703,277,223,523,221,219,433,362,313,025,801,636,536,040, 755,174,924,956,117,940,937,101,787 possible fit combinations.

These are great for the jigsaw enthusiast and make a really interesting present if you are looking for something different with a bit of a bite.

Custom Jigsaws

We can also create your own personal version either in tessellated or regular jigsaw shapes from your own picture/photos – we just need a good photo that has upwards of 2000 x 2000 pixels (dpi is not important provided there are sufficient pixels to get a good print).

NB these are not suitable for smaller children because of the size of the pieces.
